EMERGING ARTISTS CALL-OUT
We are looking to engage recent graduates/privately-trained Emerging Artists to fill roles in our [unusual] performance schedule for the first part of 2024.
VACANCIES
Baritone (1)
Bass or bass-baritone (1)
YOU WILL BE:
A trained classical singer (to a Bachelor degree level or higher).
Versatile and collegiate - open to new ideas and contemporary practice in a musical and theatrical context.
Looking to expand your contemporary operatic repertoire, professional CV and skills as an operatic storyteller.
Committed to using voice, text, music and theatre to create a compelling connection with audiences.
Willing to work in a repertory team-context: including performing ensemble & small roles.
Able to commit to accommodate rehearsal periods and performance dates.
Capable of independent score-learning, and turning up prepared.

Aria intensive - with interstate guest/s
'The Great Beauty' at Pt Leo Estate (February 23, 2024)
The Incident - new opera Workshop at MRC (April 8 - 12)
Australian Premiere - Pulitzer-prize winning chamber opera (May 3 - 11)
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Our rehearsal schedule in the first half of 2024 will run across Weeknights and Saturdays
Other dates/times may be required when related to performance activities.
We ask for maximum flexibility:
1. until the the schedule is set for each project, and
2. during production weeks, when illness etc. can require last-minute schedule change.
Production rehearsals (off-book) and Performances are paid at Live Performance Award rate.
Music Coaching, Stagecraft and Preparatory calls are provided.
Master Classes and Aria Intensives by invitation.
